Patilux
Photoselective transparent film with braching effect

Is the reference product for thermic clear covering sheets of large tunnels and greenhouses. It is manufactured from Eva copolymers (Ethylene-Vinyl acetate) and carefully selected additives, through a well proven and continuously improved production process.

If an higher transparency is expected also in the ultraviolet band, the TUV version is available, limited to the duration classes D and E.

PATILUX TUV is usefully used to favor an environment suitable for bumblebees and their effective activity, while allowing an optimum development of color and fragrance of fruits and vegetables.

PATILUX therefore finds its ideal application for crops that need intense natural light as a key factor, even in critical seasonal periods of lower solar radiation, allowing early harvesting and high quality of both flowers and horticultural products.

PATILUX films are supplied with anti-drip additives (AG) as standard; the additive migrating onto the inside of the film reduces the surface tension of condensed water vapour, thus avoiding fogging and droplets.

The effectiveness and the lasting of this action are influenced by the film slope, by the environment humidity and by the temperature, so the expected performance can be limited in relation to the greenhouse construction, or to the way of running it, and by the climatic conditions.

Upon customer’s request, PATI provides a cutting service of the rolls at specified lengths.

Advantages
Unrivalled light Transparency particularly in the PAR (Photosynthetic Active Radiation, which is effective for the photosynthesis, i.e. 400-700 nm) necessary for the plants growth.
Excellent thermal effect that limits the drop-in temperature during the night or in poor sunlight conditions.
Outstanding mechanical properties, of elasticity, tear resistance, tensile strength and resistance to perforation, even at low temperatures.
Preservation of excellent transparency and mechanical properties during the film life span.
